Frax-L 4D
Full resurfacing of the skin structure on the face with fractionated lasers
We combine two high-efficiency fractionated lasers in order to achieve the best result. We use the Frax-L 3D non-ablative laser skin resurfacing treatment combined with ProFractional-XC ablative treatment on the faster healing surface. If you have a skin with enlarged pores, superficial wrinkles, scars or mole-type pigmentation, you can expect not only the cell structure of your skin to be slowly reconstructed but, owing to the ablation, the Frax-L 4D treatment will also quickly rejuvenate your tissues.
Recommended for
Those whose facial skin has developed pigment patches as a result of inflammatory processes (acne) or UV exposure (sunbathing, solarium use). Those on whose skin the first wrinkles have appeared. Those who are left with scars by former acne processes (spots) on the skin or have greasy skin with enlarged pores. Those who have no aversion to ablative methods and are willing to undergo a gentle treatment that entails a few days of recovery.
Treatable skin surfaces
The two sides of the face or the whole face, the neck and the cleavage. More than one region can be treated simultaneously.
Preparation
Frax-L 4D fractionated treatment is arranged by appointment as it cannot be performed on the day of the examination. Patients need to take acyclovir pills from one day prior to the treatment for 10 consecutive days (in order to avoid any effect causing a sudden flare up of herpes, which may occur after treatments involving a skin injury).
The treatment
In the course of the Frax-L 4D treatment, first we apply short light impulses to patches of the skin with the tip of a pencil-type hand piece. Then we treat the surrounding skin area. In the second phase of the treatment the laser makes tiny pricks on the skin, progressing millimetre by millimetre with the help of a scanner (fractionated ablative treatment). The smoke is extracted with a medical smoke extractor system equipped with HEPA filters thus preventing inhalation by the patient or the treating staff. The treatment may cause discomfort, and therefore we use a pain relief cream in advance.
Ability to work, nursing at home
Due to the fine skin injuries, the eyelids may swell (oedema) even if they have not been treated separately, and therefore the patient will be unable to work for a few days. After the swelling has disappeared, you will feel the tightening effect immediately after the swelling has disappeared, though the full reconstruction of the skin structure requires time. Following the treatment, the skin requires careful nursing at home, though makeup can be applied after a week. We recommend avoiding exposure to light for 3 months after the treatment (sunglasses)
Number of treatments
We recommend repeating the treatments in order to achieve a good result (set of 2-4 treatments). The Frax-L 4D treatments can be applied monthly.
Scientific background of the treatment
We use 1540nma fractionated Er:Glass laser manufactured by Quantasystem laser company for the Frax-L 4D fractioned treatment, where the laser energy penetrates into the skin in small fractions, in a column shape. The laser heats up the cells, causing damaged columns of microscopic size in the skin (destroying part of the pathogenic stock causing the skin symptoms). The damaged areas are replaced by new cells within a few months and therefore the skin fully rejuvenates in the area of the columns. The second phase of the treatment is based on the Erbium:YAG laser technology developed by Sciton Inc., a US laser manufacturing company. The heating caused by the laser makes the collagen shrink (natural lifting effect) and the fine skin ablations will be replaced by fresh cells (cell rejuvenation effect). Led by Dr Gábor Varju, Dr Derm Anti-Aging Dermatology, Aesthetic Laser and Plastic Surgery was the first institution to use the equipment and the related treatment method in Hungary.
Cost of the treatment
The Frax-Laser 4D fractionated treatment costs HUF 300,000/occasion (full face).
