BBL-photorejuvenation: treatment for wrinkles, pigment patches and redness

Preparation

The ForeverYoung BBL treatment does not require any special preparation and it can usually be carried out on the day of examination. We recommend not sunbathing or visiting tanning salons for two weeks prior to the ForeverYoung BBL treatment.

The treatment

During a ForeverYoung BBL treatment a cooled handpiece is in contact with the skin surface and issues short pulses of light. Then we treat the neighbouring skin area. We treat the area in 2-3 rows, depending on the nature of the problem. The cooling prevents burns to the skin.

Ability to work, nursing at home

The patient can return to work immediately after the ForeverYoung BBL treatment, which does not cause any skin injury. The treatment may be followed by mild redness on the skin or temporary darkening of the pigment patches, though that disappears in a few hours and can be covered up with makeup. After treatment there is no need for any special home skin care, though we always recommend avoiding exposure of the skin to light for one month.

Number of treatments

Just one treatment may be effective but we recommend repeating the treatments in order to achieve a perfect result. The ForeverYoung BBL treatments can be repeated every 2-3 weeks.

Scientific background of the treatment

In the ForeverYoung BBL treatment we use the Erbium:YAG laser technology developed by Sciton Inc., a US laser manufacturing company. According to scientific tests, one treatment a year for ten years will make your skin look, on average, 8 years younger. The “gene map” of the cells of the skin, with which the quality of cell functions is tested, becomes similar to that of a young skin after Forever Young BBL treatment. Led by Dr Gábor Varju, Dr Derm Anti-Aging Dermatology, Aesthetic Laser and Plastic Surgery is the first institution to use the equipment and the treatment methods in Hungary.

Cost of the treatment

A ForeverYoung treatment costs between HUF 36,000 and HUF 150,000, depending on the size of the skin surface.
