Non-surgical lifting with skin tightening and collagen induction

The natural effect tightening of loose skin and the gravity-caused symptoms of ageing (deepening nose and chin groves, loss of the oval shape of the face) with high-energy, pulsing light. The infrared light of the SkinTyte II. treatment heats up the collagen of the dermis, the immediate shrinking of which results in a spectacular lifting effect. As a secondary effect, the production of new collagen fibres also begins (collagen induction).

Recommended for

Those whose skin has lost flexibility and tightness and has become disturbingly loose with the weakening of the holding structure as a result of sunbathing or frequent visits to tanning salons, the hormonal changes of the menopause, ageing or weight loss.

Treatable skin surfaces

The whole face, neck, the middle part of the cleavage (between breasts), the upper arm, the back of the hand, the skin around the navel, the whole belly and back.

Preparation

The SkinTyte II. treatment requires no special preparation and can usually be carried out on the day of the examination. We recommend not sunbathing or visiting tanning salons during the days directly prior to the SkinTyte II. treatment.

The treatment

During a SkinTyte II. treatment a cooled handpiece is in contact with the skin surface and emits 10-15 second series of light pulses. By the end of the pulse series the deeper layers of the skin have been heated up significantly by the treatment and therefore shrink (SkinTyte shrinking: immediate skin tightening effect). Then we treat the neighbouring skin area. The cooling prevents burns to the skin. The treatment may cause slight discomfort; though it is generally painless.

Ability to work, nursing at home

The patient can return to work immediately after the SkinTyte II. treatment as no skin injury is caused. The treatment may be followed by mild redness on the skin which disappears in a few hours and can be covered up with makeup. After treatment you will not need to continue caring for your skin in any special way at home, though we always recommend avoiding exposure to light for two weeks.

Number of treatments

One treatment a year, or one treatment every 4 months (3 times a year), or an accelerated course of 4 treatments (once every 2-4 weeks).

Scientific background of the treatment

The SkinTyte II. treatment is based on the advanced BBL technology of Sciton Inc., a US laser manufacturing company. According to scientific tests, the high tissue temperature caused by serial pulses makes the collagen fibres of the dermis shrink (immediate effect). In addition, it also triggers the production of new collagen fibres, replacing the old fractured fibres. The equipment uses the skin’s own natural regeneration capacity to have a rejuvenation effect. Compared to the earlier SkinTyte treatment, the SkinTyte II. guarantees a more controllable energy uptake, a shorter treatment period and more spectacular results. Led by Dr Gábor Varju, Dr Derm Anti-Aging Dermatology, Aesthetic Laser and Plastic Surgery is the first institution to use the equipment and the related treatment methods in Hungary.

Cost of the treatment

A SkinTyte II. treatment costs between HUF 79,500 and HUF 298,000, depending on the size of the skin surface to be treated.
